Electrochemical behavior of 2'-halogenated derivatives of N,N-dimethyl-4-aminoazobenzene at mercury electrode.
The electrochemical behavior of 2'-halogeno-N,N-dimethyl-4-aminoazobenzene derivatives was investigated using various polarographic and voltammetric methods. The peak potentials of these derivatives were observed to shift towards negative values along with an increase in the pH. A reduction of the azo linkage took place via two electrons at pH > 4, but four electrons at pH < 4 in aqueous-ethano...
متن کاملElectrochemical Behavior of 2-Aminothiazole at Poly Glycine Modified Pencil Graphite Electrode
Electro analysis of 2-Aminothiazole (2-AT) by a low cost poly Glycine modified Pencil Graphite Electrode (poly Gly/PGE) was studied using of cyclic voltammetric (CV) and differential pulse voltammetric (DPV) techniques. The optimal experimental conditions to determine 2-AT was setup by the variation of the current with scan rate, concentration and pH. Electrochemical performance of the 2-AT at ...
متن کاملElectrochemical Behavior of Quinoxalin-2-one Derivatives at Mercury Electrodes and Its Analytical Use
Derivatives of quinoxalin-2-one are interesting compounds with potential pharmacological activity. From this point of view, understanding of their electrochemical behavior is of great importance. In the present paper, a mechanism of electrochemical reduction of quinoxalin-2-one derivatives at mercury dropping electrode was proposed. Pyrazine ring was found to be the main electroactive center un...
متن کاملElectrochemical behaviour of dimethyl-2-oxoglutarate on glassy carbon electrode.
The electrochemical behaviour of dimethyl-2-oxoglutarate (MOG), a key intermediate in the Krebs cycle and an important nitrogen transporter in the metabolic pathways in biological processes, was investigated by cyclic voltammetry, square wave voltammetry and differential pulse voltammetry using a glassy carbon electrode. The reduction of MOG is an irreversible diffusion-controlled process that ...
متن کاملElectrochemical study of potassium isobutyl xanthate at a mercury electrode.
Polarographic studies of potassium isobutyl xanthate at a mercury electrode reveal that the product of an anodic reaction is strongly adsorbed at the mercury surface, as indicated by a prewave. The adsorbed film greatly affects the characteristics of the anodic wave of xanthate in an aqeous medium. The current of total wave is proportional to the concentration of xanthate from 0.32 to 1.6 mM.
